Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to optimize freight movement across road, rail, and air.
- Oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring all shipments meet stringent safety, cost, and timeline KPIs.
- Negotiate and manage high-value contracts with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carrier fleets.
- Implement advanced TMS (Transportation Management System) upgrades to enhance real-time visibility.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce operational overhead while increasing throughput capacity.
- Analyze supply chain bottlenecks and deploy corrective actions to mitigate disruption risks.
- Mentor and guide operations staff to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in transportation management or logistics operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Demonstrated expertise in carrier relationship management and freight procurement.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in SQL, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
- Proven ability to manage high-stakes, time-sensitive operational environments.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
