Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and warehousing.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and implement lean methodologies to reduce costs and increase turnaround times.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor logistics coordinators and analysts to foster a high-performance culture.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate rates and manage relationships with carriers, 3PLs, and freight forwarders to ensure competitive pricing and reliability.
- Data Analytics: Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight spend, and inventory accuracy using advanced reporting tools.
- Crisis Management: Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks associated with geopolitical issues, weather disruptions, and supply chain volatility.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with local and international regulations, including customs laws and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in logistics/supply chain, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Language: Excellent command of English (written and verbal); Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to translate business goals into operational strategies.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and solve complex logistical problems under pressure.
