Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistical strategies to streamline regional freight distribution.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of dispatchers, warehouse coordinators, and administrative staff.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards across all transit operations.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales departments to enhance service levels and operational efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service agreements to optimize cost-per-mile metrics.
- Oversee real-time fleet management to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transportation operations or freight management.
- Strong proficiency with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and data analytics tools.
- Proven track record of improving operational margins and reducing transit lead times.
- Deep understanding of FMCSA compliance, safety protocols, and transportation laws.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-departmental stakeholders.
