Nexus Global Transport Solutions is looking for a visionary Senior Logistics Operations Manager to lead our Chicago hub. In this role, you will be the architect of our midwest distribution strategy, bridging the gap between high-level logistics planning and ground-level execution.

Responsibilities
- Lead and scale comprehensive transportation strategies for multi-modal freight operations.
- Optimize fleet utilization and route efficiency using advanced AI-driven TMS platforms.
- Manage high-level relationships with regional carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and cost-per-mile.
- Ensure 100% adherence to DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA safety and compliance regulations.
- Develop and manage an annual operational budget exceeding $25M.
- Mentor a high-performing team of logistics coordinators and dispatchers to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in senior-level transportation or fleet management roles.
- Deep expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and SAP ERP environments.
- Proven track record of implementing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to reduce operational waste.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex logistics data sets.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a history of securing favorable carrier contracts.
- Professional certification such as CSCP, CLTD, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
