Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for supply chain optimization, utilizing advanced analytics and industry best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to secure optimal service and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Identify and implement technological solutions (e.g., WMS, TMS) to enhance operational efficiency and visibility.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and generate reports to drive informed decision-making and performance improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and procurement teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in logistics operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven expertise in freight management, transportation planning, and warehouse operations.
- Strong command of supply chain software, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex data and making strategic recommendations.
- In-depth knowledge of domestic and international transportation regulations and compliance standards.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
