Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations for regional distribution hubs.
- Optimize routing protocols to improve delivery speed and reduce fuel consumption.
- Manage relationships with key 3PL carriers and vendors to ensure service level agreement (SLA) compliance.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify and implement cost-saving process improvements.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of logistics coordinators and fleet dispatchers.
- Ensure full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to manage inventory flow and warehouse capacity planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in high-volume transportation, freight, or distribution management.
- In-depth knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software.
- Proven track record of optimizing operational workflows and reducing overhead costs.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing teams of 10+ employees.
- Knowledge of federal transportation regulations and safety compliance standards.
