Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation strategies to increase fleet efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Manage relationships with key carrier partners, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Utilize advanced TMS (Transportation Management System) analytics to monitor real-time shipment tracking and resolve delivery bottlenecks.
- Oversee the regional warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure seamless synchronization of outbound logistics.
- Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Prepare executive-level reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational budget performance.
- Drive organizational change management to implement new logistics technology and automation tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in transportation operations or freight management.
- Expert proficiency in TMS platforms, ERP software, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex logistics data sets.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage large, distributed teams.
- Deep understanding of DOT regulations, safety standards, and regional transport infrastructure.
- Professional certification (e.g., APICS, CLTD, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) is highly preferred.
