In this high-impact role, you will leverage data-driven strategies to streamline complex supply chains, enhance vendor relations, and drive operational excellence across our fleet and warehouse facilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Oversee daily operations across multi-site distribution centers in the Chicago metropolitan area.
- Negotiate high-value contracts with 3PL providers and freight carriers to optimize costs.
- Implement advanced warehouse management systems (WMS) to improve inventory accuracy.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 30+ logistics coordinators and floor supervisors.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and international shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume logistics environments.
- Proven expertise in WMS/ERP integration (SAP or Oracle preferred).
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Tableau or PowerBI for logistics reporting.
- Deep understanding of last-mile delivery and international freight forwarding workflows.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Certification in Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or CSCP is highly desirable.
