Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of operations coordinators and fleet supervisors.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to reduce transit times and operational overhead.
- Maintain rigorous compliance with DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.
- Analyze complex logistics data to identify bottleneck areas and execute corrective action plans.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate freight contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate new warehouse automation technology.
- Oversee emergency response and contingency planning for high-priority shipments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in freight brokerage or large-scale transportation operations.
- Advanced proficiency in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ERP software.
- Deep understanding of North American freight market dynamics and carrier relations.
- Proven ability to lead large, remote teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Certification in APICS (CSCP) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
