Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations, ensuring on-time delivery and supply chain continuity.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to reduce lead times and optimize freight spend.
- Manage key relationships with third-party carriers and logistics service providers.
- Utilize data analytics to monitor fleet performance, route efficiency, and service reliability.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of logistics coordinators and dispatchers.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations and industry safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement projects utilizing Six Sigma or Lean methodology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics management, transportation operations, or supply chain.
- Strong proficiency with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software (SAP or Oracle preferred).
- Proven track record in vendor negotiation and contract management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of domestic freight regulations and interstate commerce laws.
- APICS or CSCP certification is highly desirable.
