Responsibilities
- Direct end-to-end transportation operations for high-priority regional freight corridors.
- Optimize routing protocols to improve delivery speed and reduce operational overhead by 15% annually.
- Manage relationships with key carriers, 3PL partners, and vendors to ensure seamless capacity alignment.
- Implement data-driven performance metrics to monitor and enhance fleet productivity.
- Lead safety compliance initiatives ensuring full adherence to FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Mentor and develop shift managers and dispatch coordinators to foster a culture of high performance.
- Oversee emergency response and contingency planning to mitigate service disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the transportation or logistics sector.
- Deep understanding of DOT regulations, hours-of-service compliance, and freight auditing.
- Proven expertise in utilizing Transport Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software (SAP/Oracle).
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Valid professional certifications such as CSCP or CLTD are highly preferred.
