Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations, ensuring on-time delivery metrics.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable process improvements.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of dispatchers and warehouse supervisors.
- Negotiate carrier contracts to optimize lane costs while maintaining service quality.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Develop and execute contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
- Manage operational budgets and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the transportation or logistics sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software.
- Proven track record of optimizing fleet operations and reducing overhead.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Current certification in Six Sigma or APICS (CLTD) is highly preferred.
