Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations, ensuring on-time delivery and strict budget adherence.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of fleet managers and dispatch coordinators.
- Develop and implement strategic process improvements to increase operational efficiency by 15% annually.
- Manage key carrier relationships and negotiate freight contracts to optimize cost-per-mile.
- Ensure 100% compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and environmental mandates.
- Analyze supply chain performance data to provide actionable insights for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in high-volume transportation or freight operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software (SAP/Oracle).
- Deep understanding of North American freight market dynamics and carrier procurement.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Current CDL or logistics certifications (CLTD/CSCP) are highly preferred.
