Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistical strategies to improve transport efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
- Oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain bottlenecks and minimize transit delays.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights for continuous operational improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with 3PL partners to optimize service levels.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of dispatchers and logistics coordinators.
- Implement advanced fleet management software to enhance real-time visibility and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transportation management or logistics operations.
- In-depth knowledge of federal transportation regulations and safety compliance standards.
- Proven ability to utilize TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and data analytics tools.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing large, diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Certification in APICS, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain credentials is highly preferred.
