Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end logistics operations including warehousing, inventory management, and last-mile distribution.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to reduce transit times and optimize freight costs by 15% annually.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of logistics coordinators and dispatchers to ensure peak performance.
- Maintain rigorous compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and international shipping protocols.
- Negotiate and manage high-level relationships with 3PL carriers and freight forwarding partners.
- Utilize advanced TMS and WMS platforms to monitor real-time shipment visibility and operational KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to streamline internal workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a high-volume logistics or distribution environment.
- Proven expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder).
- Deep understanding of supply chain metrics, freight auditing, and logistics cost analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of mitigating supply chain disruptions under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at the executive level.
- Professional certification such as CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution) is highly preferred.
