Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including freight transportation, warehousing, and distribution
- Develop and implement cost-effective logistics strategies using TMS and route optimization software
- Manage relationships with 3PL partners, carriers, and key stakeholders to ensure service excellence
- Analyze KPIs to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing complex logistics projects and crisis management
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international trade regulations
- Drive sustainability initiatives in transportation operations and carbon footprint reduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation/logistics with 3+ years in leadership
- Expertise in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan, SAP) and route optimization tools
- Proven track record of reducing logistics costs by 15%+ while improving service levels
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making experience
- FMCSA regulations expertise and hazardous materials certification
- Experience managing multi-modal transportation networks (rail, air, ocean, drayage)
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities
