Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive domestic and international logistics, distribution, and warehousing strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of logistics coordinators, dispatchers, and warehouse supervisors.
- Negotiate high-value carrier contracts and manage strategic partnerships with 3PL, ocean, air, and over-the-road freight providers.
- Utilize advanced TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and WMS to analyze supply chain KPIs, identifying bottlenecks and driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and international shipping regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and customs requirements.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, sales, and finance teams to align logistics capacity with demand planning and budgetary constraints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's or CSCP/CLTD certification preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics management, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Proven expertise in managing multi-million dollar logistics budgets and executing complex carrier negotiations.
- Advanced proficiency with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and modern Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to operational efficiency (Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
