Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end transportation strategies across rail, road, and air freight networks
- Manage fleet operations, including route optimization, driver scheduling, and compliance monitoring
- Develop cost-saving initiatives through data-driven analytics and vendor negotiations
- Oversee warehouse/distribution center operations and inventory management systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless logistics integration with sales and manufacturing
- Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon footprint in transportation operations
- Implement and maintain compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation/logistics management
- Expertise in TMS/WMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise systems)
- Proven track record in multi-modal transportation and fleet optimization
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in logistics KPIs and cost modeling
- Valid CDL Class A license or equivalent transportation certification
- Experience leading teams of 15+ logistics professionals
- Deep knowledge of Midwest transportation corridors and regulatory landscape
