Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategic logistics networks optimizing 3PL partnerships and distribution channels
- Lead cross-functional teams to streamline warehousing, transportation, and inventory management systems
- Analyze supply chain data using SAP/JDE to identify cost reduction opportunities and KPI improvements
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with freight carriers and logistics providers
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations (CBP, FDA) and safety protocols
- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions and natural disaster scenarios
- Mentor junior staff and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive logistics experience with 3PL or Fortune 500 manufacturing
- Expert proficiency in logistics software (SAP TM, Oracle WMS, TMS platforms)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Demonstrated success in reducing logistics costs by 15%+ while improving service levels
- Strong analytical skills with experience in freight rate negotiation and carrier management
- Knowledge of customs brokerage and international shipping regulations
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing remote teams
