Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize inbound and outbound freight schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers to negotiate rates and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Analyze supply chain data and logistics metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Coordinate inventory levels with warehouse teams to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and resolve complex logistics issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on client relations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification such as CSCP or CPIM is a strong plus.
