Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-modal transportation strategies for high-value cargo across the Midwest region
- Leverage advanced logistics software to forecast demand and optimize fleet utilization
- Coordinate with 3PL partners and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with FMCSA and EPA standards
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives reducing transit times by 15% annually
- Analyze KPIs including on-time delivery rates, fuel efficiency, and cost per mile
- Mentor junior coordinators while maintaining ISO 9001 certification standards
- Develop contingency plans for weather disruptions and supply chain volatility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in freight transportation with 2+ years in leadership roles
- Expert proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan Associates)
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or APICS CPIM preferred
- Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts with carriers and vendors
- Advanced data analysis skills using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
- Ability to work rotating shifts including overnight hours during peak seasons
