We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the heart of the logistics hub, Memphis, TN. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring that our freight movements are efficient, cost-effective, and reliable. Responsibilities
- Route Optimization & Planning: Develop and implement efficient shipping routes to minimize transit times and reduce fuel consumption while adhering to strict delivery deadlines.
- Carrier Management: Negotiate rates with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and maintain strong relationships with freight carriers to ensure service excellence.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate inbound/outbound shipments to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze logistics data to identify trends, forecast capacity needs, and generate comprehensive performance reports for stakeholders.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all shipping activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT guidelines and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation coordination.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex logistics issues under pressure.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
