Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to meet customer demands and reduce operational costs.
- Carrier Management: Negotiate rates and contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight carriers to ensure optimal service levels.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehousing teams to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Route Optimization: Analyze shipping routes and modes of transport to identify efficiency improvements and reduce transit times.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and complies with international and domestic regulations.
- Problem Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for resolving complex shipping discrepancies and emergency logistics issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and logistics software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
