Key Duties:
Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume caseload of complex commercial disputes and litigation matters from inception to resolution.
- Prepare and review legal pleadings, statements of case, and expert witness reports with meticulous attention to detail.
- Represent the firm and clients in court, tribunals, and mediation sessions.
- Provide senior-level legal advice and strategic counsel to clients regarding risk assessment and case management.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals within the department.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including clients and opposing counsel.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor with a valid practicing certificate (SRA authorized).
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation.
- Strong technical knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and relevant statutory frameworks.
- Proven track record of successfully handling high-value claims and settlement negotiations.
- Excellent drafting and advocacy skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
- Member of the Law Society (or equivalent professional body).
