Responsibilities
- Manage and lead complex litigation matters from inception through trial, including managing budgets and timelines.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client positions.
- Advocate for clients in court proceedings and depositions, effectively communicating legal arguments to judges and juries.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing regular updates and strategic advice.
- Supervise junior associates and paralegals, providing guidance on case strategy and professional development.
Qualifications
- Education: Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a valid practicing license (SRA or Bar Council).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation or corporate law.
- Skills: Proven track record of success in high-value litigation cases and a strong command of English legal principles.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
- Technology: Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
