Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel on corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and contract negotiations.
- Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of litigation matters, including discovery and settlement discussions.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including data privacy laws.
- Develop and implement corporate policies and risk management frameworks to protect the company’s assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify legal risks in business operations.
- Supervise junior legal staff and manage external law firm relationships.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on M&A and commercial contracts.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex litigation and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking with a keen attention to detail.
