The Role
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing high-stakes commercial agreements, managing litigation, and ensuring full regulatory compliance across our operations.
Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, and service agreements.
- Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice to the executive board on corporate governance and risk mitigation.
- Compliance: Oversee adherence to UK and international regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
- External Counsel Management: Manage relationships with external law firms and supervise high-value litigation matters.
- Policy Development: Lead the development and implementation of company-wide legal policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (Solicitor qualified in England and Wales preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate legal environment.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of M&A, corporate law, and contract negotiation.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
