Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and commercial contracts.
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex legal documents for high-stakes transactions.
- Manage regulatory compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Liaise effectively with external counsel, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough legal research and risk assessments to support business objectives.
- Mentor junior members of the legal team and contribute to the firm's knowledge management initiatives.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales) or equivalent qualified lawyer status (Bar Admitted).
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in Corporate Law, M&A, or Commercial Law.
- Deep understanding of UK corporate governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent drafting skills with a keen eye for detail and risk mitigation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
