Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate governance.
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial contracts and agreements to minimize legal risk.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Manage litigation matters and work closely with external counsel when necessary.
- Train and mentor junior legal staff and stakeholders on legal best practices.
- Conduct thorough legal research and due diligence on potential business opportunities.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor (QLTS) or Barrister admitted to practice in the UK.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of UK corporate law, data protection (GDPR), and employment law.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven track record of handling high-value transactions.
