Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of robust cybersecurity architectures for federal networks.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability testing on classified and unclassified systems.
- Develop and enforce IT security policies in strict compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP standards.
- Oversee incident response procedures and coordinate with external agencies during cyber emergencies.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and contractors.
- Manage the lifecycle of security tools, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in federal IT or cybersecurity roles.
- Certification: CISSP, CISM, or CEH (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, encryption standards, and cloud security (FedRAMP).
- Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects within a government environment.
- Excellent communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
