Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in strict alignment with federal standards.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, ensuring timely delivery within strict budget constraints.
- Facilitate clear communication among diverse stakeholders, including government officials, technical teams, and external vendors.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies to ensure continuity of operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report progress to senior leadership and oversight committees.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality assurance standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the Government or Public Sector.
- Proven expertise in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies with a track record of successful delivery.
- Strong knowledge of federal IT acquisition regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., FAR, OMB Circulars).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar professional certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior project managers.
