Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and deploy scalable, high-availability network and server architectures utilizing Azure and AWS cloud technologies.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Ensure all infrastructure meets rigorous federal security standards, including FedRAMP, NIST, and FISMA compliance.
- Infrastructure Modernization: Lead the migration of legacy on-premise systems to cloud-native environments, optimizing performance and reducing operational costs.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure 99.99% uptime during critical events.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and architects, conducting code reviews and technical training sessions to foster a culture of excellence.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party cloud providers and IT solution vendors to ensure contract delivery and technical alignment.
- Incident Response: Lead technical response teams during security breaches or system outages, implementing rapid remediation strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in federal IT environments or government contracting.
- Certifications: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required. Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, AWS Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Expert are highly valued.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layered infrastructure issues under pressure.
- Agile Mindset: Experience working within Agile/Scrum development lifecycles.
