Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of high-end interior design projects, from conceptualization and schematic design to design development and construction documentation.
- Develop innovative design concepts, presentations, and material palettes that align with client vision and project goals.
- Oversee the selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), finishes, and art.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering their professional growth.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently to deliver projects on schedule and within financial parameters.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and punch lists to ensure design intent and quality standards are met.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and technologies to continuously enhance design solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial interior design.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a strong design sensibility, technical proficiency, and successful project outcomes.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D rendering software, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and construction practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving project demands.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively to clients and team members.
- NCIDQ certification or equivalent professional licensure preferred.
