Luminaire Atelier Studio is seeking a visionary Senior Interior Architect to join our elite design collective in the heart of SoHo. We specialize in high-end residential and boutique commercial projects that push the boundaries of spatial narrative and materiality. The ideal candidate blends technical precision with a sophisticated aesthetic eye.
As a Design Lead, you will oversee projects from schematic design through to construction administration, ensuring every detail reflects our firm's commitment to excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead design development phases for high-profile residential and commercial interiors.
- Produce comprehensive construction documentation, including floor plans, elevations, and millwork details.
- Direct consultant coordination, including MEP, structural engineers, and lighting designers.
- Select and specify premium materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) to meet project budgets.
- Conduct site visits to ensure construction quality aligns with design intent and architectural standards.
- Mentor junior designers and support staff to foster a culture of creative excellence.
- Present design concepts and technical iterations to clients with confidence and clarity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program.
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in high-end design environments.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and interior construction methods.
- Excellent portfolio demonstrating sophisticated design sensibilities and technical rigor.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for client-facing scenarios.
- Professional licensure (RA or CID) is highly preferred but not required.
