Avenue & Arch Studio is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our award-winning team in the heart of Chelsea, NYC. We specialize in bespoke interiors that blend functionality with sculptural elegance.
You will lead projects from conceptual development through to final installation, collaborating with artisans, architects, and private clients to deliver spaces that redefine luxury living.
Responsibilities
- Lead the complete design lifecycle from initial concept and space planning to FF&E selection.
- Produce high-fidelity 3D renderings and comprehensive technical construction documentation.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and site visits to ensure design intent is maintained.
- Present design proposals and mood boards to high-net-worth clients with confidence and precision.
- Coordinate with contractors and structural engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Direct junior designers and oversee the mentorship of junior team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience in luxury residential or commercial design.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated aesthetic, technical prowess, and attention to detail.
- Deep knowledge of FF&E procurement, custom millwork detailing, and interior construction standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing excellence.
- NCIDQ certification or professional licensure preferred.
