Vanguard Design Studio is seeking a Senior Interior Architect to join our award-winning team in the heart of Chelsea, New York. We specialize in bespoke hospitality and luxury residential projects that push the boundaries of spatial innovation.
You will lead projects from conceptualization through construction administration, collaborating with a world-class team of designers and consultants to deliver iconic environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual development and spatial planning of high-profile luxury interiors.
- Manage the production of comprehensive drawing sets, including floor plans, elevations, and RCPs.
- Coordinate with MEP consultants, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure design integrity.
- Direct the selection and specification of bespoke furniture, fixtures, and materials (FF&E).
- Mentor junior designers and oversee project timelines to ensure on-budget delivery.
- Lead client presentations and site inspections to maintain strict design standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture or Architecture.
- Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in a design-forward firm.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong technical knowledge of interior construction detailing and building codes.
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing high-end commercial or luxury residential work.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multifaceted project teams.
- Professional licensure (NCIDQ or AIA) preferred.
