Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design development from conceptual sketches to construction documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, engineers, contractors) to ensure seamless execution
- Develop innovative material palettes and custom furniture solutions for high-profile projects
- Manage client relationships through all project phases, presenting designs and revisions
- Oversee budget allocation and resource planning for assigned projects
- Mentor junior designers while maintaining design quality standards
- Stay current with industry trends and sustainable design practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Architecture or related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in high-end interior design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- NCIDQ certification or equivalent professional credential
- Portfolio demonstrating luxury residential and commercial projects
- Strong understanding of NYC building codes and permitting processes
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Experience with sustainable design methodologies (LEED/APID preferred)
