Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain comprehensive trademark and patent portfolios, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare and file trademark applications, responding to office actions and renewals.
- Conduct thorough prior art searches and freedom to operate analyses.
- Assist in the preparation of legal correspondence and documentation for litigation matters.
- Coordinate with international counsel for cross-border IP protection.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on emerging IP issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or a related field, with a focus on Intellectual Property.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Executive within an IP or Technology practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU intellectual property laws, including the Trade Marks Act and Patents Act.
- Proficiency in legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, Intapp, or DAS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts for clients.
