Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for commercial property insurance applications
- Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines aligned with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with brokers to structure optimal coverage solutions
- Analyze complex financial data to determine appropriate premium structures
- Lead underwriting committees for high-value risk evaluations
- Maintain accurate risk portfolios using our proprietary analytics platform
- Mentor junior underwriters on industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial property underwriting experience
- CCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) designation preferred
- Advanced proficiency in insurance analytics software (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
- Deep understanding of ISO rating methodologies and state-specific regulations
- Strong negotiation skills with proven track record of complex deal structuring
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
