Responsibilities
- Analyze commercial insurance applications and risk exposure using quantitative modeling tools
- Develop underwriting strategies for property/casualty and specialty insurance products
- Build relationships with brokers and clients to understand evolving risk landscapes
- Maintain compliance with state insurance regulations and industry best practices
- Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to product innovation initiatives
- Present risk assessments and pricing recommendations to underwriting committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C products
- Strong proficiency in risk assessment tools and actuarial concepts
- CPCU, ARM, or CERA designation required
- Expertise in regulatory compliance across multiple states
- Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills
- Experience with insurance management systems (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
