Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial risks using advanced data analytics and actuarial models
- Design and price innovative insurance products for specialty markets
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop risk mitigation strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with key insurance brokers and partners
- Ensure compliance with NY state insurance regulations and industry standards
- Mentor junior underwriters and drive continuous process improvements
- Present risk assessments and recommendations to executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience with specialty lines
- ACAS designation or progress toward CPCU certification required
- Advanced proficiency in risk assessment software and predictive modeling
- Deep knowledge of NY insurance regulations and market trends
- Proven track record in pricing complex commercial risks
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong presentation abilities for stakeholder communications
