Responsibilities
- Advanced Analytics: Design and implement complex data models to analyze risk profiles, claim patterns, and policy performance.
- Strategic Reporting: Develop high-level dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and PowerBI to present data-driven insights to executive stakeholders.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in current underwriting and claims processes and propose data-backed solutions to streamline operations.
- Collaboration: Partner with actuaries, underwriters, and IT teams to integrate new data sources and improve system architecture.
- Compliance: Ensure all data handling practices adhere to strict regulatory standards, including GDPR and FCA guidelines.
- Forecasting: Utilize predictive modeling (Python/R) to forecast market trends and potential risk exposure.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data analysis within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (advanced queries), Python, and R. Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) is highly desirable.
- Tools: Strong command of data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of insurance concepts, including actuarial science, underwriting cycles, and claims management.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into business value for non-technical audiences.
