Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that align with the company's business goals and foster a positive, inclusive culture.
- Talent Acquisition: Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, partnering with department heads to build robust talent pipelines and ensure quality hires.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff, managing complex employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, conducting regular audits and updating policy documentation.
- Performance Management: Design and implement performance management systems that drive employee development and retention.
- Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, ensuring competitive market positioning.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience in a corporate setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree (MBA) is preferred.
- Certification: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is strongly preferred.
- Legal Knowledge: Deep understanding of employment law, labor relations, and HR best practices within California and the US.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in HRIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) and advanced MS Office Suite skills.
