Responsibilities
- Oversee Data Management: Lead the implementation and maintenance of our EHR systems, ensuring accurate and secure capture of patient data.
- Advanced Analytics: Develop complex reports and dashboards to identify trends in patient care, operational bottlenecks, and revenue cycle performance.
- Compliance & Security: Enforce strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and internal data governance policies to protect sensitive patient information.
- Clinical Collaboration: Partner with healthcare providers to understand clinical workflows and recommend technology solutions that enhance the patient experience.
- System Optimization: Conduct regular system audits and optimize software configurations to improve system uptime and user adoption rates.
- Training & Support: Provide advanced training and technical support to clinical staff on EHR functionalities and data entry best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Health Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in health informatics, healthcare IT, or clinical data management.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in EHR platforms (Epic or Cerner experience is highly desirable).
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in SQL, Python, or R for data extraction and analysis.
- Certification: RHIA, RHIT, or CHIME certification is a significant plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
