Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Analyze traffic patterns and shipping data to optimize delivery routes and reduce fuel consumption.
- Manage the maintenance schedules of the fleet to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle safety.
- Collaborate with external vendors and carriers to negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Monitor compliance with local and national transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare detailed operational reports and forecasts for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of transport management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
- Proven track record in budget management and cost reduction strategies.
- CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
