The Role
We are looking for an engineer who doesn't just write code, but architect solutions that drive business value. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our financial software, from initial design to deployment and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend services for high-frequency trading and payment processing systems.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize database queries and system architectures to handle millions of transactions per second with zero downtime.
- Compliance Integration: Develop automated tools to ensure strict adherence to financial regulations including SOX, GDPR, and Basel III standards.
- Legacy Modernization: Lead the migration of legacy mainframe systems to modern cloud-native microservices using Python, Java, or Go.
- API Development: Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs to integrate with third-party financial institutions and payment gateways.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and establish best practices for software engineering within the fintech domain.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, specifically within the financial services or fintech industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or C++. Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Cloud & DevOps: Experience with AWS or Azure, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Financial Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial concepts, including ledger systems, risk management, and securities trading.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layered system issues under pressure.
