Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and close procedures.
- Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure strict compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior accountants and finance staff.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or Financial Controller role within a UK-based company.
- Advanced proficiency in financial reporting software (Sage, Xero, or NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and corporate governance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
