Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Lead financial reporting initiatives including GAAP-compliant statements and regulatory filings
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and treasury operations
- Collaborate with executive team on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Conduct financial audits and coordinate external auditor relationships
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize departmental workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification required
- 8+ years progressive accounting experience with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial statement preparation
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Excel
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and variance analysis
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience in public accounting or multi-location corporate environments preferred
