Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end/year-end closing processes and ensure GAAP compliance
- Lead financial reporting for external stakeholders and board presentations
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Manage accounting operations team (5+ professionals) and foster professional growth
- Drive process improvements in financial systems and reporting tools
- Collaborate with executive team on strategic financial planning and analysis
- Manage tax compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements
Qualifications
- CPA certification with 8+ years in accounting/finance leadership
- Experience with Big 4 public accounting and corporate finance
- Expertise in financial reporting (SEC filings, GAAP) and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Proven track record in financial controls and process optimization
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in venture capital/private equity preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA preferred
