Apex Capital Group is seeking a meticulous and forward-thinking Senior Financial Controller to oversee our fiscal operations, enhance internal controls, and provide actionable financial insights to our executive board.
You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity while optimizing our reporting processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee all corporate accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury operations.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to manage annual audits and tax filings effectively.
- Prepare detailed financial forecasts, budget analysis, and cash flow projections to support long-term business strategy.
- Mentor and lead the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Optimize financial systems and software to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and complex tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable executive insights.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing accounting teams.
